On the Radar

On the Radar

Our first ever On the Radar show at Cargo is set to start as we mean to go on, with some of our favourite, R&B, soul, pop and funk acts that we’ve come across on the underground circuit.

After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at numerous shows before, Southchurch return to headline the show. Essex quartet Southchurch play a fresh take on electronic garage! Their exciting sound has earnt them spots on numerous festival line up, awards and a spot on the shortlist for BBC Introducing’s Sound of 2017! This promising young band are going places!

FRESCO is a band based in Manchester who blend older funk and soul music with a contemporary pop sound. With choruses to sing to, grooves to dance to and an energetic stage presence, this 5-piece is putting the soul back into pop music.

Isaac K and his band will also be joining us for the evening. Isaac creates smooth soulful R&B that has seen him play at some of London’s best venues, including the Roundhouse in Camden as part of the London Music Awards.

Armada Named Sound is back with a new and improved line up. This electronic music project combines elements of everything from trip hop to trance creating something totally unique, with their trippy music videos bagging awards.

Opening the show is Kent’s Michael King! He may be young, but he already knows how to craft a perfect pop song and has received radio airplay on both side of the Atlantic, including on BBC Introducing.
