Spectre Spector formed in London in 2009 when lifelong pals Oskar [who had previously worked extensively with Mercury Award winner Talvin Singh] and Luis [who was at the time developing an embryonic project of multi-layered guitar sounds] decided to join forces.
They are a guitar band at heart that makes use of loop machines and laptops to create a textured sound with hints to psychedelia, shoegaze, surf rock, abstract electronica...
Spectre Spector’s self-titled LP has been released in Spring 2012. Skillfully produced by Osk, its biggest achievement is to give a fresh new twist to the concept of “wall of sound” by integrating the technological possibilities of the 21st Century.
Their work reflects a lifetime’s immersion in good rock and roll music that finds in technology the means to deliver a product that is soulful, daring and relevant.
