Musiq Concrete and nouveau are once again high-jacking the marvellous Cargo main room and terrace ahead of our marathon 12 hour party on the 22nd of September. This time we’ve stacked up the floor-fighting ammo box with deadly DJing dynamo: Alex Tepper. You may scratch your head upon hearing his name, but be damn sure you’ve heard some of the hundreds of releases that have been touched by 20 years of highly acclaimed club and studio brilliance.
Alex has been providing the know-how for a variety of premier league DJs, collaborating regularly with Steve Lawler, Nic Fanciulli, Nicole Moudaber and a host of others, who’ve come to him for a sprinkling of the Tepper magic, aiding releases on Get Physical, Cocoon, R&S, Ovum and many others. Tepper’s solo efforts have not gone unnoticed, resulting in releases out on Drumcode, Souvenir, Rekids and Nic Fanciulli’s Saved. As his solo fight gathers pace, Tepper’s name will be one to watch; we are certainly prepared for battle!
Soothing the party into the wee hours, we also welcome Leftwing and Kody (off recordings). Leftwing and Kody are beginning to manifest in Clubland’s consciousness. With their most recent EP reaching high in the charts on Beatport, we suspect this London based duo are morphing from blurry imaginings into something rather more concrete. What we can say for sure, is to expect a set filled with jacking beats, fat basslines, fresh synths, catchy vocals and an array of tight House and Techno arrangements.
