A Place To Bury Strangers will bring their senses-stunning live show back to the UK in spring 2012, including a date at London Cargo on Tuesday 8 May 2012. This follows the release of their new EP on 6 Feb, Onwards To The Wall.

Onwards To The Wall packs every bit of the searing sonic maelstrom listeners have come to expect from APTBS. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by APTBS themselves, this is the sound of a band in control of making out-of-control music. Now joined by bassist Dion Lunadon, formerly of The D4, lead singer and guitarist Oliver Ackerman has found a crucial companion in pulling timeless melodies from their jet engine
textures. The adroit song craft that's always been there is brought to the fore, with familiar pop hooks repurposed for maximum carnage. A handful of contemporary bands are currently exploring the new limits of loud. Here, APTBS proves that they have not only been leading that charge, but that they are also evolving and maturing on those front lines.

Onwards To The Wall is a fresh, complete artistic statement from APTBS. It's a new chapter, a prelude for what awaits us on the horizon. It is a taste of greatness to come.

Supporting A Place to Bury Strangers will be 'The Lucid Dream'...

The Lucid Dream were formed in Carlisle, Cumbria, in 2008. On the back of 2 sold out EP's in 2010 ('Erbistock Mill' 'In Your Eyes'), and 2 7" single releases in 2011 ('Love In My Veins' 'Heartbreak Girl'), the band have gained acclaim from the likes of NME, Q, Frank Skinner (Absolute Radio), Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 2 'Listeners Tip of the Week'), and major support from BBC 6 Music (Nemone 'Record of the Weekend', Lauren Laverne, Gideon Coe, Tom Robinson). Most recently, 'Heartbreak Girl' was featured on Sky One's 'Soccer AM'. The releases coincided with appearances at The Big Chill Festival, Liverpool Sound City, and several appearances at Kendal Calling, including a main stage slot in 2011. The band have supported the likes of The Magic Band (of Captain Beefheart fame), Spectrum (featuring Sonic Boom, founder member of Spacemen 3), Crocodiles, and The Aliens. The Lucid Dream will release 'Hits Me Like I'm Stoned' on 7" vinyl in June, via Regal Crabomophone/Fruits De Mer Records. A UK tour will?coincide, including tour support to A Place To Bury Strangers in May, and support to Death In Vegas in June.
